I'd like to start gauging interest in a meetup in July or August, here in coastal Connecticut. We are about halfway between Boston and New York, along the shoreline of the Long Island Sound. Water activities are popular here in the summer -- we could charter a fishing boat or sail boat, I would host a clambake (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_England_clam_bake), there are loads of hiking trails (some right in my back yard), and daytrips could be arranged to NYC and Boston. Depending on how many people are coming, we could rent a water-front house for a week. Also, the world's 3rd largest casino is about an hour away.
Please let me know if you might be able to come, and what your preferences are for dates. Also, if you have alternative suggestions for location, speak up! :-)

Cool. I'll come in August at least with Elie. Piritta (my wife) and Naxhieli might join. Crab is good for my health so Connecticut is fine.

ReplyDeleteSorry to have delayed responding. Our summer plans have been in flux. At this point, it looks like most of July is out, except possibly the first week. The beginning of August might be doable, and certainly if a family bash does happen, we'd make every effort to be there, if only for a few days.
